How I Handle Your Information.

Plain and specific. Last updated October 2026.

Who is responsible

This website belongs to Virtual Rye, the professional practice of Ryan Macapagal. For any privacy question or request, email hello@virtualrye.com.

What I collect, and why

If you use the inquiry form, I receive the details you enter: your name, email address, the topic you choose, and your message. The form also records which page you sent it from and the time it was sent. I use this information only to read and reply to your inquiry.

If you email me directly, I receive whatever you include in your email.

How it reaches me

Form submissions are sent as an email to hello@virtualrye.com through the mail service of my hosting provider, Hostinger. They are not stored in a database on this website.

To prevent abuse, the form keeps a short-lived, one-way scrambled version of the sending network address for up to one hour, to limit repeated submissions. It cannot be turned back into the original address.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use analytics or advertising tools, and it does not set cookies.

Third-party services

  • Hostinger hosts this website and handles email. Like any web host, its servers may keep standard technical logs, such as network addresses and pages requested, for security and operation.
  • Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. When a page loads, your browser requests the fonts from Google, which receives your network address as part of that request.

How long I keep it

I keep inquiry emails for as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of the conversation. You can ask me to delete them at any time.

Your choices

You can ask what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, by emailing hello@virtualrye.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law.

Security

The website is served over an encrypted connection. The form checks and cleans what is submitted before sending it. No method of transmission is completely secure, so please avoid sending highly sensitive information through the form.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date.
